From a small local builder to the largest contractor in the world. BUILD EMPIRE is a turn-based management simulation about running a general contractor. Win work in the bid room, run the sites, grow the company, and climb to No.1 in the world rankings. ■ How it plays 1. Bid - price the job and win the contract 2. Build - advance the month, progress the work, collect payment 3. Manage - grow departments, hire people, raise finance 4. Rank up - build a track record, clear the stage requirements, reach the top ■ Features - Fully turn-based. Nothing moves until you press "Next month". No timers, no waiting. - Projects from detached houses to skyscrapers, airports and maglev lines, up to national megaprojects and space-scale works - Every project type has its own rendering, so you can see what you are about to build - Sites change as the work progresses: cleared ground, excavation, foundations, steel frame, cladding, completion. Bridges, tunnels and offshore wind each build in their own way. - Bidding tactics driven by technical score, standing, sales strength and your relationship with the client - Choose how your people work. Closing the site two days a week costs money and time, but morale and retention rise, and you avoid the overtime breaches that end in debarment from public bidding. - Payroll is not just salary. The employer's share of health, pension, unemployment and workers' compensation insurance falls due every month, and the workers' comp rate rises after an accident and falls when you invest in safety, exactly as the merit system works - Department levels, hiring and staff traits, bank finance, investment projects, M&A and overseas expansion - Everything you finish stays in the city on the home screen, built as itself - your own skyline takes shape. - Name your own developments and hold them: rent comes in every month, for as long as you own them. - A completion report every month. The real test is how far you beat your planned profit. - World rankings by revenue, profit and technical score ■ For players who - New to this? Five cards explain what you can do when you start, and the home screen tells you your next step. - Enjoy management sims with real numbers behind them - Are interested in construction and city building - Want a game they can move forward one month at a time ■ Pricing Free to play all the way through, with a banner ad. The one-time Premium (deep management) purchase removes ads and opens up: - Subcontractors - build your trade base, sign exclusive partners, negotiate rates and payment terms - Superintendents - grow them on site, post a job ad to hire in, and reassign them all in one go - Pay and benefits - set monthly pay and bonus months per grade, then design nine benefit programmes (company housing, rent subsidy, away postings, site allowance, licence support, family allowance, occupational health, an employee share plan and retirement pay) as unit price x people covered. How many people qualify moves with your offices and the age of the firm - Shares and listing - hold client shares and float the company to raise capital beyond the banks. Your own share price moves with operating margin and the market, and a cheap-looking company invites a takeover bid No subscription. One payment, yours for good. Build your empire.

■ Org chart A player told us that the deeper the hierarchy — sections under departments, heads of each division, vice presidents — the more immersive the game feels. People now has an Org/Execs tab. Under the president sit the Building, Civil Engineering, Development, Administration and Technology divisions, with departments, sections and groups below them. Alongside head office, branches are listed from north to south (overseas bases are grouped into one International Branch, with a group for each region), and every active job appears as a site office under a works section, with its site manager. Administration includes Corporate Planning, and the Building Division has a Safety & Quality department. The chart grows as your company grows. Tap "View the full org chart" to open a boxes-and-lines chart full screen, with headcounts and the names of division heads and general managers. Pinch to zoom and drag to move. ■ Sections Each time a department reaches Lv 5, 15, 25, 35, 45 and 50, you can set up one more section — fully grown, it has every section. Choices include Public Sector Sales, Works Administration, Safety & Environment, Quality Control, Legal & Compliance, Public Relations, Renewable Energy, the Environment Lab and more. Each department has its own choices, each with a small effect. Building Construction starts with a building works section and Design with an architectural design department; as they grow, an MEP works section and structural and MEP design departments appear on their own. Civil Design splits into Bridge, Tunnel and Geotechnical Design too. ■ Executives As your company moves up the stages, seats open for directors, managing directors, senior managing directors and vice presidents. Executives head a division and boost its departments. Each March, at year-end, a candidate is put forward from your department general managers. Terms are two years, and you set the executive pay level. Every department has a named general manager, and you can pick a new one from the section managers once a year. ■ Executive scandals Once in a while, a whistleblower report about an executive arrives. An internal investigation usually settles it before it goes public. If it hits the news, you choose whether to apologize and dismiss them or stand by them. "Forceful" executives give a bigger boost, but carry a bigger risk. ■ President's name Set it when you start a company, or at the top of the org chart. ■ With Premium Set pay for each executive, rename divisions, departments and sections, and choose executives from three candidates. ■ Faster Sites tab A player reported that the Sites screen took about 5 seconds to open once they had many projects. We now do the heavy counting once and show 30 cards at a time (tap Show more for the rest). Even with 200 sites, it opens right away. ■ Also ・The Construction department has a new name in the Japanese version (nothing else changes) ・Fixed the People screen in English showing morale and turnover in the wrong places ・Fixed the grade pay and bonus −/+ buttons on the Pay screen not updating the numbers ・Saving now writes to your device far less often, which is easier on battery and storage
